1. Overview

Harp2Tab is a harmonica tab generator for Android. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and your rights as a user. We collect as little data as possible.

2. Data We Collect

Microphone Audio

The app accesses your microphone to detect the pitch of notes you play. Audio is processed in real time on your device and is never recorded to a file, never stored, and never transmitted to any server. Audio data is discarded immediately after each note is processed.

Tab Recordings

The harmonica tabs you generate are stored locally on your device. They are used to let you review, edit, and export your recordings. Tab data is retained until you delete it within the app or uninstall the app. It is included in Android's automatic backup to your personal Google Drive account, which is controlled by your own Google account settings.

Purchase Information

Whether you have purchased the full version of the app is stored locally on your device. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play — we do not receive, store, or process any payment details. Purchase status is backed up via Android Auto Backup.

Crash Reports

If the app crashes, an anonymous report is sent to Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC). Reports contain: device model, Android OS version, app version, and the technical crash trace. They do not contain your name, email address, microphone audio, or tab content. Reports are used solely to identify and fix bugs, and are retained for 90 days.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Names, email addresses, or any account information

• Contacts or any other device data
• Advertising identifiers
• Usage analytics or behavioural tracking

All Google services are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Deletion — because we store no personal data on our servers, uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. For crash report data, contact us.
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to certain processing activities.
• Complaint — lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Children's Privacy

Harp2Tab does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
